Amazing $30 Cartography Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time that lasts until Dec. 2. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by a specialized software company over the years, the complete package is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade mapping application which enables users to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

An imaginative landscape chart generated in Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Basic Package

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection for at least $15 offers enhanced value by adding in permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from the company's long-running monthly subscription service which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

For a minimum of $30, the comprehensive package includes all the following:

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual come with this bundle, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs that can help users craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, dungeons, cities, and continents from almost any perspective. Users can also create character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection is so worth it, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously an even better deal for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here though the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief. Package customization options is toward the top of the page, though users may also choose any amount for a donation on the right side of the page. Additionally available is an donation allocation menu just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
